Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman (Robert Pattinson), striking fear into the hearts of the criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens. When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends the World’s Greatest Detective on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), The Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and The Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and brings justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.

The Batman (2022) is the new action movie starring Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz and Andy Serkis.

Love how when it's from Batman's view of the Joker it's blurry, like how his profile of the joker is foggy - he hasn't quite profiled him fully. In contrast, from Joker's perspective, he's got Batman all figured out, hence it's clear.

I like how the Joker figured out the Riddler almost instantly, but actively made his answer inflammatory so that Batman wouldn’t take him seriously. But he was right. He was 100% right.

Don't stand too close to the glass, Batman.
Also, the fact that they blurred out the joker's face was brilliant. It got the audience begging to see what this Joker looks like, yet at the same getting a glimpse at his features is also so terrorfying.

Pattison was actually very good at playing a young Batman still getting to terms with his chosen path. Slightly insecure under his costume, but still deadly serious enough to scare people. Like a young knight who just got his armour. This joker is also terrifying. Hope they make a continuation on this.

I'm really loving Riddler and Joker being more grounded and horror inspired, they are disturbing

I like how it heavily implies Batman is afraid of his influence. He’s afraid of these villains rising and killing via his influence. It emphasizes the choice he has to make and it builds character because every villain in Gotham does what they do because it’s personal. It’s all because of Batman and I like how they kinda showed that here

You guys remember this more of a real horror vision. The Joker fell into acid. What did you expect him to look like? I always thought it was convenient he didn’t look more messed up considering what happened to him. I’m ready for an ugly disturbing Joker.

I wish this was left in the film. LOVED this Joker. That actor is amazing. I liked how he was clearly insane but then had that moment of clarity/normalcy when he said "You know exactly how he thinks. Have you read this file" and closed the file. It just seemed so sharp, not crazy, grounded. Then he went back to being psycho.

Batman tries to cover his pain, Joker wear's it like a badge of honor such a wonderful dynamic between these two.

Now THIS is what I want in DC. Real, dark, horror stuff

Heath Ledger set the bar of joker so high that people expect a lot from every joker ever since but I think Barry will be a great Joker. His joker has less make up but is more creepy & realistic.

It's cool to hear
"It's almost our anniversary isn't it?"
"whether he loves or hates you."
"U think I get off to this stuff?"
"Don't you?"
Because it's so seldom explored how most villains of Gotham are just down bad for Batman. It's so fucking personal. Everything they do.

An amazing scene that I’m so glad was cut. It would’ve distracted us from Paul Dano’s Riddler, but I genuinely can’t wait to see what they do with this Joker. It has a lot of potential

This single 5-minute deleted scene is more interesting than the entire Joker 2 movie.

Whats terrifying is that he was right. He was 100% correct in every assessment he made. About the Riddler and about the bat
That's what makes this a good joker. this version can read the bat inside and out like every good joker should

I love how they made him look like something to fear

I love how with the new movie, the characters aren't trying to top previous characters, they feel new/different from the others. That's why I don't really compare this batman to others they are all slightly different in their styles or stories but this one is especially different as he just starting out changes alot of himself. Riddler is also very different from past riddlers as he is more terrifying on a psychological level. I got goosebumps from him during some parts.

I LOVE this sadistic mentally disturbed psychopath take. It's so fresh and yet also feels like its going back to the character's roots. I hope we get more of him.

This Hannibal Lecter kind of take on the Joker is very interesting and refreshingly new. I actually hope he never leaves Arkham and fights Batman in the traditional way that we’ve seen a million times before…. Having him be this emergency resource for Batman as a means of thinking outside the box in order to solve crimes is actually a brilliant idea.
