Interesting detail about this scene - at 3:20 the Joker has his right hand placed over the hammer mechanism on the revolver. The pressure from his finger could prevent the hammer from striking the firing pin with enough force to fire a bullet. He really is a guy with a plan.

This is, in my opinion, the best and most defining moment of the whole movie. While in a moment of calm, clarity and sanity we get a deep insight as to how insane and evil the Joker is. Heath very much deserved the Oscar he received and it wasn't just a matter of what he said, but how he said it as well.

Peoples don’t give enough props to Christian Bale as Batman in this movie but his performance as Both Bruce and Batman are amazing, especially in this part where he saves the guy and pretends it was an accident.
