for those that wanna know. Neo has something called sensorineural hearing loss(SNHL). Which means problem in the cochlea ( hearing receptor) or the nerve conducting auditory impulses. So that's why neo is given a cochlear implant. Which is an instrument that stimulates cochlea in response to sound impulses. So thing is SNHL can be due to a lot of reasons and the only way to find out genetic causes is to do genetic testing and Neo turned out to be a carrier ( meaning only one set of genes which happened to be inherited from Niko) for GJB2( gap junction), myo7a( myofibril)and NaGlu. So thing is Neo is healthy otherwise. Like sometimes there are diseases like Alport syndrome which is a type of deafness with kidney defects, but luckily with God's grace Neo only has genes for isolated hearing loss. So now the thing is Neo must not marry someone with the same set of genes because otherwise it will lead to Neo's kid having 100% deafness. N ya so our lil champ is doing so well and he's gonna grow up into an amazing man. He already has our heart. N remember the important point is nobody is to blame here. We dont choose our genes. We dont choose our race. We dont choose the disease we inherit or propogate to our kids. So take this wonderful family as an example as how love can erase any hardship and let us see that our adversaries are but blessings in disguise
