i just can't believe you disabled the multiple destinations options! that was THE BEST feature in the previous version and the only reason i used it! We used it to plan a trip all across the united states. I will sure as hell wont use the new maps for such needs anymore.
bring the multiple destinations back!!!

I expected this video to show how to add more points and to modify routes by hand... but it confirms that this is a HUGE step back for google maps instead.

I agree that multiple destinations should be restored. This is a feature I used often to plan trips.

I have to say that the New Google Maps is a disaster. It's like a flashy designer door that taking away the good old doorknob is referred to cliche as "design", "improved", "upgrade", or "innovation". You know it's a door but you get so frustrated just to figure out how to open it, and even you manage to open it, it makes you so frustrated just to figure out how to close it. Consider yourself lucky; it is not the door to the men's/ladies' room where urgency is at stake. Simple things made difficult. Same here; my vote goes to the classic Google Maps.

I definitely noticed this as well. I love when things get a UI overhaul to make them look better, but I feel like speed is not something that should be sacrificed, especially when things become this noticeably slower.

The "Avoid Highways" and "Avoid Tolls" are awesome tools, I've used them forever. I wish Google would start looking into a "Scenic Route" option.

As a truck driver I will love if google come up with an option for trucking with bridges and road restrictions

Agreed with multi-point driving directions, that was a great feature.

Also, public transit information in more countries would be great!

Add a destination

Currently, you can only route between two locations in the new Google Maps. If you'd like to add a destination or waypoint, you can temporarily use the classic Google Maps experience.

To adjust a route in the new Google Maps, you can click and drag the blue route to make it pass through a particular location. This is available for driving, walking, and biking directions.

Seriously... That's the NUMBER 1 thing I used Maps for. I can get to one destination pretty easily, but multiple was a great tool....

yeah, really could do with the 'destination via' option, waypoints are useful if your trip involves a few stops and you need to calculate against your vehicles endurance.

What I like:
- it's bigger now and the useful stuff is like a drop-down menu
- looks shiny
- interaction with the transit lines

What I don't like:
- really slow (most likely because of loading the photos on the button)
- Pictures at the buttom (Please! If I want to see pictures, i want to press a button and then load them. but not all the time)
- There are Cars, Transit, Bycicle and per pedes. Where is the motorbike? (Motorbikes often use different routes than cars)
- A to B - Where is C, D, E?

I've saved 'My Places' through 'Crete Map' a lot since May 28, 2010 and most of them are embedded in my blog contennt.

Hopefully, I'll be the 2nd. group of users to preview the new Google Maps.

Google Maps is very useful in helping to build up quality blog content management. So, for these new development and enhancement, I do really like Google Maps very much.

I see the way to hit avoid tolls/highways, there should be an option to avoid unpaved roads. While in the cities this is useless, out here in the country this becomes a high priority to avoid the dirt roads as much as possible. (Such as after a rain when they become very muddy, or in the winter when they become very icy.)
