That INFP may be feeling relief, but I think it is more because they just knew they were right that a rejection was coming and already spent countless nights fretting over it and crying and having imaginary conversations over it so that when the rejection finally came, they felt relief that they could now move on with their lives and stop having anxiety over whether they were gonna be rejected or not.
Rejection still hurts though, but it honestly hurts less than the countless nights leading up to it in agony. I think it is possible I have a fear of success, lol
