I never wanted to be one of " those people" until I became one of those people. Going gluten-free just feels better and I don't think I can ever go back.

I never knew what was wrong with me so long, I cut out dairy, exercised, tried so many vitamins and drink concoctions etc. I felt hopeless. I finally decided to try curing gluten out and ive never went back! No more migraines, bloating, digestive issues, I feel so much better 🥰😢🥺

Recent symptoms of going gluten free (a short list of personal experience):

- Literally zero anxiety
- Sleeping quickly and staying asleep
- No bloating
- Losing weight (and haven’t cut calories)
- Resting heart rate has improved drastically
- Mood improvement
- Bowel movement have improved, with obvious signs that my gut health has improved (please don’t ask for details)

The saddest (and embarrassing) thing about all this is that i’ve ignored my gluten symptoms for at least 2 decades. How much of my life have I lost already for not recognizing these symptoms?

And frankly, 1 in 1000 doctors cannot help you recognize this problem or ignore gluten sensitivity.

I haven't been officially diagnosed with celiac or gluten intolerance (yet) because I haven't gone in for tests, but when I cut gluten out a couple months ago, I noticed the following changes within two weeks:

- No more brain fog or racing thoughts. Before going GF I had songs playing, thoughts running, etc in my head 24/7.
- Chronic skin rashes disappeared within days
- Fatigue decreased, but my energy levels still aren't great
- Old digestion issues went away. I'm dealing with new ones now because of low fiber from GF, but working on finding a balance.
- I stopped getting clogged ears (I'd started getting chronic ear infections as an adult, none as a kid)
- I'm no longer taking Advil to deal with the chronic inflammation that was keeping me from thinking clearly
- I lost 12 pounds in the first week, returning to my regular weight. That was one of the most shocking changes. I didn't realize I was losing weight, though I was extremely hungry for the first couple of days. I thought the scale was broken! It was like my body just yeeted the weight that wasn't supposed to be on it.
- My hair, which was brittle and shedding, is starting to get healthier (with added protein too).
- I hope I've saved my teeth from further damage. They've been damaged, and I think at least some of that damage is from gluten.

I hope this helps anyone else who has similar symptoms!

If wheat is the most nutritional thing you eat all day, that’s insanely depressing 😂😂😂

I've recently discovered lentil pasta... It's awesome. Texture is pretty much the same, taste is off but can be covered up, and high in protein.

Ok, I was going to give this video a chance until at the 1:00 mark it tells me (basically) that I'm not getting key nutrients unless I eat Lucky charms cereal!??

For those in Canada seeing this, the food law here is that gluten free options MUST have the same amount of vitamin fortification as their non gluten free counterparts. This vid says gluten free options aren't fortified so you can get deficiencies but the prepackaged foods here, like cereals, cookies and pasta, have equal amounts gluten free or not.

5 days after going gluten and sugar free, I got a skin rash on my hands, then it disappeared. Think it was all part of the detoxification process. Now my skin looks good and I feel great.

I have a gluten and starch sensitivity and dairy allergy. I do okay but eliminating junk foods and carbonation can help bloating and I crave foods good for me now.

I am a nearly 21 year old woman. Today will mark my first day on my Gluten-Free journey. I have had no issues with gluten in the past (not that I knew of at least). Most of my diet consists of whole grain breads, cereals, etc. throughout my whole day. I have been realizing that for the past 2 months, none of my stools are exactly normal. I also feel quite fatigued and I experience a lot of bloating. I was diagnosed with a stomach virus when I noticed, but it still hasn't gone away. I am also vitamin deficient, I exercise, and I even take supplements but the fatigue and malaise is all still there. I haven't gotten a blood test recently but I will soon.

I would eat whole wheat breads for breakfast and feel fatigued, drained, and felt like I needed to use the restroom directly after. Why is this? It is horrible.... I have always been told that whole wheat foods are so good for you so lately I have been making it a part of my diet. I think now I am realizing the problem is gluten. I would feel fine fasting but when I eat some bread it all goes downhill. Why would something that would be good for you make me feel this way? Welp! I am going to put it to the test. I am going to update this in a week or even maybe a few days.

DAY 1 - 3/23/2022: I ordered some Gluten-Free groceries this morning. I am really hoping it would solve my problems. And if it does I will not eat Gluten again. So far, so good. Having no bad issues today and got through breakfast and lunch already! Feeling much more energized!
