Thousands of years into the future, humanity has advanced into space, where it has divided into two countries with two different forms of government: the autocracy of the Galactic Empire, and the democracy of the Free Planets Alliance. These two countries have been at war for 150 years, turning the galaxy into a stage for a never-ending series of conflicts.

As the long war continues, both countries fall into decline, with the Galactic Empire suffering corruption among the noble classes, while the Free Planets Alliance falls victim to the mob rule of democracy. Then, near the end of the 8th age of the space calendar, the appearance of two geniuses will change history forever. The ever-winning genius, Reinhard von Lohengramm, and the never-losing magician, Yang Wen-li. As heads of the Imperial and Alliance armies respectively, the two will face each other in battle over and over again.

eh i still prefer the original art style over the new one, the characters looks have so much more depth into them, whereas the remake, the characters could be put into kuroko's no basketball and still fit in perfectly. Nevertheless the remake is still good👍

I began watching anime, properly, in 2001. It wasn't until a couple of years ago that I devoured my way through all of the LotGH material and became absolutely unashamed of saying "I watch anime".

The art looks good compared to the manga, a bit of yaoi art style if I'm being biased. It seems like there might be hella CGI so I won't be too hyped for it until it comes out.

Imma be honest, Ship designs, character desgins, and character voice acting all felt weak in this trailer. The animation felt very weak too. In the original OVA ships didnt just burst out with flame. They were melted, torn apart, and blasted into smithereens. I get that it may just be funding and "modern" work parctices, but it still really feels like a lack of "soul" in this
