Why hit your 6 iron 220?

I guess I am old school, I hit the driver fairly long so I don't care to hit it super long just in the fairway....and my irons are usually dailed in so I have full shots in....

What do you do when you hit your driver 350+ and have 100 yrds or less into a green when you hit your gap about 150 yrds is the distance you would based on a 220 6 iron?

That would be hard for me.

That doesn’t seem like you would get 80 extra yards just with some tape … that would mean with driver you be hitting it like 120 yards further than normal
