any oil of choice
1 teaspoon (3g) minced garlic
3 tablespoons (10g) minced onion
1.1 pounds (500g) ground beef
1 tablespoon (13g) granulated erythritol
salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup (40g) diced bell peppers

1 ½ cups (150g) blanched almond flour
pinch of salt
1 ½ tablespoons (23mL) olive oil
100mL water

egg wash for baking (optional)
Oil for frying

Method 1: Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.

Method 2: Deep fry in medium heat until golden brown.

Had to try this yesterday and it came out perfect. Added some chili powder to my ground meat. I tried both method and it was both delicious. I can’t even tell the difference between fried and baked but my kids prefer the fried ones. It’s puffy and indeed crispy. Thank you for this! It will be a regular in our household.

Wow! I can't wait to try these. They look SO good! And as a Caribbean American from South Florida (super Caribbean culture) I'm thinking of adding turmeric and making jamaican beef patties! Yum! I could also see gooey dessert filling coming out as you broke that open. I was thinking apple but to keep it keto.... strawberries or strawberries and cream cheese! That crispiness was everything! I’m thinking more fillings: sautéed mushroom with thyme and shallots or potato/feta cheese/scallions or beef/tomato/basil or apricot in small pieces cooked with replacement sugar and pistachios, or mixed berries cooked down with replacement sugar and hazelnuts or apples cooked down with replacement sugar and cinnamon and a few raisins… in France they’re called Chaussons and my grandmother used to make many versions. Thank you for the recipe!!!
