Had another really great grow with broccoli. Broccoli takes to hydroponic growing very well and the harvest was pretty substantial. If my style interests you, I have a book, telling how I do it all, coming out shortly.

My tomatoes are a new phenomenal agricultural breakthough that allows tomato to grow just about anywhere. A mutation appeared in a cross I made while breeding tomatoes for heat tolerance. after the seeds have sprouted, would you put any weight on the sprouts? A channel associated with Trueleaf showed that - sprouting, then putting on weight afterwards for a couple days until exposed to light.

Definitely looking forward to the book! Do you think maybe you could add a section on how to do multiple different small grows on 1 tray instead of 1 big tray with same plant? I’m thinking using plastic food container like Pepe fassos within the tray but no grow medium (screen instead) that way a small family could have a variety.

Hey Brent at 1m50s is the broccoli tray sitting inside another tray and then inside the autowatering tray? You don’t want the broccoli tray itself sitting directly in the watering tray?

Hey Brent, so i just started my hydroponics microgreen adventure and I'm not sure why but I've done step by step everything I've seen on a bunch of videos and yet my microgreens seem to stay short. My broccoli was set under pressure (had a brick over a tray) and in the dark for 5 days, but still i never get a good growth. Any suggestions ? i use a 10x20 and I've tried jute mats and a regular cotton mat so far. i tried without nutrients and I've tried with nutrients(maxigro). Now i do see more growth with the maxigro but still nothing even close to what I've seen people grow. maybe about 1 inch or an inch and a half after 5 days. I'm pretty sure that's not right.

You don't seem to be using a weight anymore. Did you find that the weight was unnecessary? some say putting a weight directly on the seeds might encourage the roots to grow down and the plant to grow stronger.
