This is my favorite Chicago song after Peter Cetera left the band. It was Chicago's first top ten song after Cetera left. It reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1987 and #2 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. This is Jason Scheff on lead vocals.

Peter Cetera left the band because he wanted to pursue a solo career. Originally, he wanted to stay in Chicago and do solo projects on the side. Much like Phil Collins and Genesis. However, Chicago's management was not crazy about that idea. Sad to see Peter leave, but it ultimately worked out for both sides!

One of my favorite Chicago songs. I feel it's one of the most real love songs.

Chicago's "Will You Still Love Me?" was their 40th charting single and their 16th Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking @ #3. Debuted 11/15/86 and charted for 23 weeks.

I love how music used to show men were devoted to their women loved respected and honoured them

Chicago was a totally different band starting in the 1980’s. They began working with David Foster so their whole sound changed. Jason Scheff the bass player (who replaced Cetera) and Bill Champlan became the main lead singers.

This was from 86, and was from the first Chicago record without Peter Cetera. Basically, from what I remember, Peter wanted to take a break to make a solo record and the band didn't agree and so they fired him. The guy who sang on this one was Peter's replacement.

Thanks for reacting to this one! It's my wife's and my song. When we were dating (way back in the 80's) this song would play EVERYWHERE we went - restaurants, grocery store, radio in the car... I guess it worked for us because we're still together 34 years and counting.

The singer/bass player who took Cetera's place is Jason Scheff. His father, Jerry Scheff, was the bass player in Elvis's touring band in the 70's. Jerry also played on the Doors studio album, LA Woman.

If you didn't live during the time of journey and Chicago songs being played in the school gym while you slow danced with your high school sweetheart then you will never understand the power these songs had !! Just hearing one on the radio or in a grocery store stops me in my tracks!!

What can I say, Chicago was my teen years! Late 70s and 80s! A great group!

This is eerie. I just started listening to "If You Leave Me Now" by Chicago, and then I checked the YouTube notifications. This reaction by Chicago just popped up about 1 minute earlier. Both are great songs! Chicago is amazing!!!

I Don’t Want To Live Without Your Love- Chicago. J/A this is a top 10 billboard charting big sounding song from late 80s. Love to see you react to it!! Thanks for this great reaction.

This was a great song after Peter Cetera left. It was a hit and played on the radio on a regular basis in the late 80s and made the top 5 in the Billboard for a talented reason; Even when after losing the hugely talented Peter Cetera! Simply amazing. Don't get me wrong, Peter Cetera is an OG, Just shows you how talented the Chicago band is on the whole 💞

Amber and Jordan - this was actually MY request and I truly appreciate you taking the time to listen. Even though it's not the "big band" sound - it's still my top favourite NON Peter Cetera song - and never fails to give me chills. Thank you for the reaction :). Btw - Peter Cetera does an amazing solo song called Daddy's Girl. From the movie Three Men and a Baby - which would be PERFECT for your movie channel. Pretty please???? Hugs from Canada

This is the later Chicago- as they moved through the mid-to-late 80s, they took on a more shiny Pop/Adult Conemporary sound. (The change really started while Cetera was still in the group. "Hard to Say I'm Sorry", "Youre the Inspiration" and "Hard Habit to Break" were all David Foster radio-friendly productions. During this time, groups like Chicago, Toto and Starship seemed to mellow from their original 60's & 70's Rock/Jazz roots. It was just a sign of the times; the record labels were focused more on getting hits, rather than the artistry.

Chicago still made some great music during this time. Jason Scheff and Bill Champlin split the lead vocals and both are tremendous singers and musicians. This song and "Look Away" were my favorites.

This song was made post Peter Cetera as the lead singer. It’s still beautiful even without Peter. Chicago is an amazing group.
