Peter Cetera, the long-time lead vocalist and front man for Chicago had his jaw broken and wired shut for an extremely long duration. He therefore learned to sing through what we see as clinched teeth. This has forever been his singing style which makes it look like he has very little mouth movements at all. He's gone on to have a very successful solo career. Keep up the great work you two.

That sound near the beginning was what a cassette tape sounds like when there's a wrinkle or it's dragging. Now that we're into the digital age we don't worry about ruining the tape in a hot vehicle or what-not.

"Color My World" is one of my favorite Chicago songs. The only problem with it is that it is TOO SHORT. It's that BEAUTIFUL!!!!

My wife and I played this at our wedding on 12/18/87. 34 years later and she is still my inspiration. I still want to have her near me. Beautiful song that has a special meaning to us and will always be "our song".

I grew up with this great band from the 70's-80's. They were a rock & roll band with horns & blended elements of classical music, jazz, R&B, & pop music. They had a lot of great songs such as "Make Me Smile", "25 or 6 to 4", "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?", "Beginnings", "Questions 67 & 68", "I'm A Man", "Where Do We Go From Here?", "Free", "Lowdown", "Saturday In The Park", "Make Me Smile", "Colour My World", "Hard To Say I'm Sorry", "You're The Inspiration", "Will You Still Love Me?", "Look Away", "Feelin' Stronger Every Day", "If You Leave Me Now", "Old Days" etc.

Another great Chicago song…”If You Leave Me Now”. My husband (boyfriend at the time) and I broke up for a short time, he heard it at work and said he realized how much he loved me and called me that night. Tomorrow is our 36th wedding anniversary ♥️

Peter Cetera and Kenny Loggins were the ballad KINGS of the 80s. Amazing love songs that could melt butter. My favourite Peter song is Glory of Love from the Karate Kid 2 soundtrack - and Hard Habit to Break. He also does an incredible ballad with Amy Grant called Next Time I Fall. Daddy's Girl from the movie Three Men and a Baby is the cutest song. When Peter left Chicago and they switched singers - they came out with my all time favourite ballad of all time called Will You Still Love Me. Sending you both huge hugs for diving into more Chicago. (Had to edit - Glory of Love is from Karate Kid 2)

Terry Kath and Peter Cetera shared the leads in 1970’s. Terry accidentally shot himself to death in 1978. Peter then became the sole lead. They got into power ballads in the 1980’s. Cetera started a solo career later.

If you like this one, you should definitely look up "Glory of Love" by Peter Cetera(this singer). Peter did some amazing songs on his own as well as with Chicago!

"Saturday in the Park" by Chicago is one of those songs that takes me back, it just feels really good!

As an 80s kid, I heard Peter Cetera as a soloist and master of the ballad. It wasn’t until I started listening to Oldies stations and classic rock stations that I was introduced to Chicago, the band.

For harmonies, please listen to Chicago's "Wishing You Were Here" -- so gorgeous!

"Color My World" by Chicago was used quite often by the Latin culture back in the 70s, for their wedding receptions. very popular.

Peter Cetera's voice is just awesome! This is from their 14th album, Chicago 17 which is their biggest selling album. Stay the Night, Hard Habit to break, and Along Comes a Woman were the other big hits from this album. From Chicago 16, Hard to Say I'm Sorry/Get Away and Love Me Tomorrow. From Chicago 18, Will You Still Love Me and If She Would've Been Faithful. Some earlier favorites, No Tell Lover, Alive Again, Old Days, (I've Been) Searching So Long, Wishing You Were Here, Call On Me, Just You and Me, Questions 67 & 68, and Saturday In the Park. Peter Cetera left the group between 17 and 18 for a solo career. Has a great duet with Amy Grant, "The Next Time I Fall". Glory of Love was featured on the Karate Kid II soundtrack.
Now I need to listen to more, lol.

By the time Chicago 17 came out in 1984, the group had largely (but not completely) traded its trademark horn section for a more synthesized sound. Nevertheless, Chicago 17 became their biggest selling album of all time, thanks in part to You're The Inspiration and Hard Habit To Break. These songs completed Chicago's comeback journey that began with Hard To Say I'm Sorry from 1982. That comeback journey continued until What Kind Of Man Would I Be, which would be their last top ten hit in 1989. I'd recommend checking that out.

I like both Chicago’s the 70s in the 80s. But, if I had to choose one decade for their music I’d say 70s. I grew up in the 70s it was my college years, I associate those years with groups like Chicago. Great years great decade, enjoyed every moment. The music was a big part of our lives.
