Beautiful!! I have a question though: you said to cast on any number of stitches but since there is a combination pattern involved isn't there some sort of formula? ie: 5 plus 2 or whatever 😉 I'm relatively new to knitting and would love to give this a try 😍

This is truly a lovely shawl, and you explained it so well. Looking forward to making it. It's easily memorized too so you're not having to constantly refer back and forth to a pattern. I'm thinking my two sisters might like this for their Christmas gift this year! As a side note, I just wanted to tell you I think you always wear the most beautiful clothes!
