To the Client:

When I started HS I went into it feeling ugly and skinny and afraid. Anxious to the point of daily vomit. Kids were mean and I felt isolated. They all thought I was ugly and skinny too. And I pushed around by the big boys and girls badly.

After 1/3 through 9th grade when it was either solve the problem or not make it out alive; I said, I’m done with this. This isn’t who I am.

Even though I didn’t believe it at first, I told myself everyday that I was a Champion and Hero and Favoured in every way.

Little by little I activated changes in my belief about who I was and stuck with them and my world completely changed.

By senior year I was a decorated student, healthy weight, in a popular cover band, won homecoming Queen twice/runner up for Prom Queen and most importantly I was able to defend other kids who needed it and I had unshakable confidence in myself. Which is with me to this day.

I tell this not to talk about myself, but to illustrate that it can be done if you stick to transforming your idea of yourself.
