Air Defense Artillery Experts Train to Establish, Occupy New Missle Site

Soldiers with the 1st Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, recently performed patriot jump operations training at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Patriots are surface-to-air missile systems designed to destroy enemy rockets or aircraft. Jump operations include moving to and establishing a new site. From the new site, Soldiers continue their defense mission. The air defense artillery experts fall under the 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade out of Fort Hood, Texas, and are currently deployed in support of Task Force Spartan.
