Great resources, mama! Some I've never even heard of! 😃

We found doing nature studies with friends helped somewhat, especially for the disinterested kids.

Recently discovered you. Seriously love your humor and relatability. It’s not like weird or uncomfortable but just the honest, humorous things we think and feel and go through. 😉Love the ideas and resources too, thanks!

When it comes to books, you are so right We do not have time to review them all in our home either so I usually ask other homeschoolers about the books 📚 and their perspective,

Rightstart has been perfect for my 2nd grader! We also went back through 1st grade (level B) because he really struggled to grasp math, at all. Life of Fred is also great to mix in there - put anything into book/reading form and he loves it :)

We love the Well Trained Mind Methodology. We really like IEW, this coming year we will be doing a little creative writing.

Thanks for the info! We are going through the LLATL for my son and I agree, it’s good for kids with special needs, as my son has a few. I’m definitely interested in the Cottage press books! I wish there were more options like this, as I like the idea of trying out a semester or even starting something later in the year, due to various circumstances. I also like FLL and we will be moving to level 3 soon!

I love TT but you do have to pair it. The pro is you don’t have to teach math the con is I think a kid could struggle if it’s not paired or you don’t practice things like multiplication & division. A great pairing is the BJU Math Review Sheets and I level down for whatever I pair to give a good spiral effect and then when your child does their paper math it’s always been something they’ve been taught before.

I've been so curious about the Who is God curriculum!

The Cottage Press language lessons book looks really good! That Handwriting with Astronomy is really neat for kids who are very interested in science.

Totally going to have to check into The Who is God curriculum! Also that astronomy handwriting looks suuuper cool!
You have some fantastic picks! You are always so thorough with your explanations of curriculums, I always find the videos you do like this so good! As well as the rest of your videos 😊 anyway thank you for sharing! TGATB handwriting is great too.
I briefly looked into right start math and decided to go ahead with TGATB math which has a lot of games that keeps my son interested too!
Anyway great choices Leilani!

Yes!! I’ve been trying to do nature study with my boys, and I’ve finally just reconciled myself to the fact that formal nature study just isn’t for them. Maybe when my daughter is older . . .

Somehow just realizing that we both have a 4th (boy) & 2nd (girl) grader this year! :D I feel like my 2nd grader could handle learning cursive this year, but my 4th grader still needs more regular handwriting practice!!! LOL! Definitely going to check out that Unseen Devotional!!

Leilani I decided to use 'The good and the beautiful' not as the main curriculum since I'm still finding the right path to follow on teaching my Kindergartener daughter. I've been using extra tools like 'All about Reading and All about Spelling' wich she loves cause of the book of letters 😍 (keeps her engaged). I would like to know exactly what's going on with TGATB curriculum, there are a lot of different opinions, I love the way you explain everything so naturally that I appreciate a bit of real feedback. ❤ take care!

Also the learning tools you use with your younger girl. My son is Autistic and I'm starting to work with him on the P-k curriculum. Thank you again! 😊
