I watched the first season of The Chosen and found it entertaining but I kept thinking that it just seemed wrong. It’s the same feeling I got reading “The Shack”. The Gospel message shouldn’t have to be embellished to reach people that are seeking the true Jesus. The Gospel of the Bible should be enough. My uneasiness was confirmed when I happened to watch episode 2 of Season 3 when the phrase “love is love” was used. This is a favorite phrase of the LGBQT community to justify their choices. This phrase gives people the ability to define what they want love to be instead of understanding that God is love and He defines what love is not sinful humans.
