Amazing crop of homegrown white button mushrooms | Mushoom growing | Diary of a Yorkshire Gardener

Are you a mushroom lover or hater?! 🍄

I’m a lover! So much so, that I love to grow my own. They’re actually one of my favourite things to grow!

This is a white button mushroom kit from @merryhill (previously gifted)

I started this kit off 5th April and harvested today 1st May. To be honest I totally forgot about them over the weekend and was quite surprised to see it full of mushrooms this morning!!

There would have been more but Florence picked a few off when they were smaller 😩

I’ve grown all sorts of mushrooms.. white & brown button, shiitake, lions mane, oyster and shaggy chestnut. Buttons always end up being my go-to ones though!
