They were the first mushrooms I ever grew indoors! They are so delicious, and easy to grow. I always recommend them for anybody getting into indoor food gardening!

You can use filter patches instead of cutting holes. Wait until they pin to cut the holes to decrease contamination (not necessary in a clean/filtered storage environment). Also, mushrooms will produce Vit D even after harvested, so the lights aren't necessary. Just set the harvested shrooms in sunlight for a bit...

The mycelium stage can grow on extremely high co²
If you make the cuts after it is all colonized you can reduce contamination risk and keep humidity up without damage.

When dried and pulverized, oyster mushrooms make a great seasoning, some say it tastes even better than nutritional yeast!

An extra. It may be easier for some to not use a grow light. One of the best things about mushroom growing is not needing it. And if you are growing food over the winter, you know how rough that can be, lol. You can set them out in the sun for like 15, 30 minutes to get some vit d. Also, the whole oyster mushroom genus is great for cholesterol.

Oh my goodness, one has to have indour space for these procedures. And on top of that, a grow light too. In San Diego CA, USA, they are increasing our electricity rates so much that I can’t afford to light my rooms and hear them too. So I might have to buy them at the Japanese grocery store. But this is a WONDERFUL VIDEO!! So we’ll organized and informative. Thank you!!
