Perfect Timing! I’m a side sleeper w/major shoulder issues - surgery soon. Didn’t know about the ‘canal system’ - Knowledge is Power 💪 Thank y’all so much! Hope your wife is feeling better 🤗

I sleep on my belly and have for many years with no pillow and now 86 and i am fair shape. Exercise 5 to 15 minutes a day and walk. Little on no arthritis or joint pains. Maybe it is heredity and i keep my weight around 160 lbs 5'9'' and my wife sees to it I eat healthy. I do not drink or smoke. If i happen to fall asleep on my back my mouth is very dry when I wake up. If you would care to comment please do. I watch you fellas a lot and you do have many good ideas.

I've been sleeping on my stomach with my head turned to the left and my arms above my head for 30+ years. I've tried everything imaginable to sleep on my back, other than tying myself down. Even if I fall asleep on my back, I wake up on my stomach. Luckily no problems yet.

Woke up two days ago with a stiff neck, because I slept on my side and the neck was out of alignment. Tonight I will try the canal position. Thanks very helpful information.

Re the sagging at the waist (if laying on side), I rolled a towel lengthwise, inserted it in one leg of an old pair of pantyhose (cut it in half). I then tied the ends of the leg at the front of my waist to secure it in place. Cheap and effective! And you guys are right ... I always use a pillow between the knees.

I actually have heard about the pillow between the knees method of preventing hip pain during sleep. I love these videos, Bob & Brad.

Thank you for the tips. I just went to the doctor for these problems but didn't receive as much information as on your video. Thank you!!

Bob & Brad my love of side sleeping and putting pressure on my bony protuberance and neck (thin pillow) is keeping my chiropractor in business. Going to try using the small throw pillow! Thanks 🙏

I tried sleeping on my stomach, but the rest of my body was in the air.

You guys should review the MedCline pillow. I'm a PT/MD... it really changed my life.

I knew you’d say the stomach! I can’t break the stomach sleeping habit, but my neck isn’t all the way to the side. I sleep on the very end of the mattress so my face is only slightly turned, or I sleep with my face on the end of a pillow. It’s so comforting to be hugged by the mattress and the rest of the world quiets. Almost any other position I feel too “exposed” and can’t fall asleep. The stomach is the best! 😂🙌😌

You guys are the best! Curious, isn’t a great rule of thumb for most humans to sleep flat on the back w a slim pillow? In my 52 yrs of life experience and having a number of phases of back issues, and in my earlier years and decades sleeping very ‘lazy’ but finally getting disciplined w back only sleeping this is when I stopped having so many back issues
