Darth Plagueis seems like a pretty chill guy considering he's Sith.

Whilst Sidious was perhaps more powerful (in terms of lightsaber skill and force powers). Plagueis was clearly strong enough that the emperor himself was hesitant to face him in a fair fight

Plagueis theoretical understanding of the force however was without equal imo. Guy literally resurrected people and was the first person in history to discover how to transfer your consciousness into another. Whilst Palpatine used this knowledge he learnt from plagueis… Palpatine speculated he wasn’t told everything by his master and that he inevitably got the last laugh when Palpatine was frail and pained upon resurrection

He was also more intelligent than Palpatine imo. He was the one that orchestrated the clone army and Palpatines rise through politics
