Please define “secure area” in an airport. Is secure area beyond the metal detectors? Is secure area the publicly accessible area before the metal detectors?

This is why it's important to know these kinds of things! If someone were to try the situation that this man used, i can assure you, the person would yell out that it was against the law to keep him from leaving the airport just because he didn't have a gun license. This man is correct that it's less paperwork and headaches if you just get the proper certifications and licenses.

Can you ride with a carbine pistol in your vehicle? I was told since it was a short barrel and a brace, it was illegal to carry. I'm thinking it's still considered a pistol though.
