Absolutely excellent advice. If homes studio owners pay attention to this, the final result on their product could be so much more professional. Is hard for a home studio to feel like a professional studio and not a home one.

My little home recording studio is not set up as a "professional" studio, which is to say that I don't record, mix, produce, master, music for a living. I do it for myself and a few friends (if they want to). So, most of what is discussed here is irrelevant to me. I hung around until 13:02 and 16:50 for the two things that mattered most to me. Thank you for making those two points exceptionally clear. My little home recording studio needs a name, can you suggest one or two? Thanks!

it's really hard to overstate the need for the hvac to provide fresh outdoor air (read: oxygen) - once you seal a room, you need proper supply and returns and ensure the system provides continuous fresh air (can be expensive or not) and adding some hvac plenums to a ceiling soffit to manage noise and evenly distribute the air (not expensive).

How big is this space? I turned a detached garage into a studio which is 600 square feet. This space seems much larger. I need to add an iso booth but feel like its going to take up too much space. Any suggestions are welcomed.

At about 04:20 Chris pointed out that he mostly minimized the glare on the screen. However it seems unavoidable that we will get glare off of his bald head. Hahaha, but seriously Chris is top notch.

Regarding dimmers, I've had some that were supposed to work for the lights I had chosen, and the power load, yet they sometimes flicker unless they are turned all the way up !!! Annoying.

Isn't your mixing desk supposed to be centered between the side walls? Yours seems to be much farther from the wall on the right.
