I don't typically open up entirely about myself, but after reaching over 1000 subscribers, I thought I'd share more. I've been a lifelong learning from a young age and it hasn't necessarily been about "collecting credentials". Experiencing learning difficulties as a child propelled me onto a unique path of navigating school. Along the way, I discovered that I am interested in so many topics—nearly everything it seems. Expanding my mind is what motivates me to embark on a continuous academic journey. Key career and life values of mine are: lifelong learning, achievement (for the betterment of my mind) and helping others

Love this for you! I love to learn too and ppl just don't get it sometimes 😅 For me it was, I couldn't afford further education right after highschool. In fact most of my 20s was on the struggle bus trying to survive lol So yea, once I got my footing and can afford to enroll in affordable online programs, I've been hooked !

I heard you are overpowered if you got multiple degrees

I've been thinking about doing multiple degrees as well. I'm currently in school for Illustration BA and planning on going to another school to get my Vet Tech Associates
I recently got a grooming job that would pay for my pet grooming certificate
I'm also thinking of getting a degree in Zoo Tech as well or some type of degree related to wildlife not sure yet
I'm happy to know there's others like me that want to earn more than just one degree.

I like your content. I just turned 40. I don't have a college degree. I haven't ever needed one, being self-employed, etc. But I do feel like it is a "missing" and if I could get a BA in less than a year, I would consider it (and also complete a bunch of ge's from Study.com). I had my transcripts transferred over to WGU...should hear next week about what would transfer over from misc. units I did in Jr. College 20 years ago. Would do B.S. in Business Marketing. The degree could help me where I might be headed. I failed critical thinking twice long ago, so it's been a mental roadblock...but I'm hopefully smarter and wiser 20 years later.

Hey Justin. Thanks for sharing. I can somewhat relate to your story. Growing up, I knew that I was a critical and creative thinker. I would always look at things from a different perspective. I didn't get good grades in high school and felt that I wasn't good enough for school. I attended college and dropped out after the first year. I just followed the crowd and felt pressured to pick the same major as my peers. It didn't align with my interests at all. In all honesty, I didn't even know what my interests are. Fast forward a few years and I'm attending a community college. I still didn't know what I wanted to do or be, so I chose business admin as my major. I thought it couldn't hurt and time was passing by while I was just wasting away. I'm 29 now and just recently graduated with my MBA. But I'm back in school again. This time, it's different. I've finally found something that interests me. It took me almost a decade from graduating high school to finally find something that not only challenges me but also motivates me to learn. I first found out that I am a lifelong learning when I was trying to get a better understanding of personal finance. It really opened my eyes on how small incremental steps can have a lasting major long-term effect. Since then, I started learning about anything that would interest me.
