Does Jesus approve of alcohol?🍷

You may have been raised thinking drinking alcohol is a sin. 😢 It’s not if we follow Jesus’s guidance and examples related to this topic. ✝️ For example, He turned water into wine at a party, and He would often enjoy a drink with his disciples(John 2:1-11). Jews also drank wine at the yearly Passover meal, and Jesus routinely participated in these meals. Additionally, He instituted the Lord’s Supper with bread and wine (Luke 22:14-20). 🍷🍞

The Bible indicates that drinking in moderation is a blessing. The Psalmist writes that in addition to the many blessings God gives to us, the Lord provides “wine to gladden the heart of man” (Psalm 104:15). 🤣Alcohol becomes a problem when we become drunk. In Luke 21:34 (NIV), Jesus advises, “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.” 🤯

Also, consider your reason for drinking alcohol. “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Cor. 10:31). If drinking alcohol is allowing you to appreciate this blessing God has given you, then it’s acceptable. If it becomes something that’s bringing harm, then it needs to stop. ✋

What in the Protestant is this. Within the context of the bible, ‘wine’ was a word used interchangeably with what we call today ‘juice’.
