Jesus said that what we put in our mouths is not evil but what comes out of our mouths through our heart

When God gave Peter the vision of the animals in the sheet, Peter thought at first that he was being told to eat forbidden foods. If you will read all the following verses relevant to the story, you will find that God explained the meaning of the vision to Peter; not a change in dietary law, but telling him that people who the Jews considered unclean were actually equal with the Jews - that he needed to share the Gospel with Gentiles (non-Jews) as well as with Jews. There is often a misunderstanding of this passage because of most of the English translations of the Bible (not that most of them are bad) don’t give the actual meaning that is evident in the original languages.

Matthew 5:17-18, Jesus says, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them".

Acts 10:10-15 😊

(Peter) became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds.

Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”

“Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”

The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

Be blessed today!

He was just saying don't eat garbage. He created some things to clean the earth, swine is one of them. All of His "laws" or " commandments" were for our good.❤

Peters dream had nothing to do with food, It had to do with people.

Peter explained the vision meant “don’t call gentiles (us) unclean people. You’re commanded to rightly divide the Word of God, and those that contradict his Word walk in darkness.

Yes, I have heard people say that if you eat pork. You become unclean but what I tell them is? It's not what goes into your mouth. That makes you unclean because it goes into your stomach. And then is eliminated It's what comes out of a man's mouth now that makes him unclean because it comes from his heart and the heart is desperately wicked.❤

God does not change. Love does not change his commands. Food and hygiene laws were placed for a reason which still stand today. Otherwise, many current illnesses would be prevented.

CONTEXT -"..You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any MAN common or unclean." Acts 10:28

Peter's vision was related to three gentiles that were coming to visit him, if we read the context before Acts chapter 10 before Peters vision, it explains an angel of god came to a Roman centurion named Cornelius and instructed him to send men to Peter. BUT however the Jews were prejudiced against the Gentiles, to the point they avoided eating with them and Peter being a Jew was raiswd with this prejudice.( The reason they were prejudice against the Gentiles was becaue many of the Gentiles worshipped Idols, so Jews saw that coming in contact with them would make the Jews ceremonially unclean.

The vision of the unclean animals on the sheet symbolizes the Gentiles and illustrates the contempt that the Jews had for them, and message God wanted to convey to Peter through the vision was that NO MAN was ceremonially unclean and should be avoided. This was important as Peter was about to be visited by 3 Gentiles.
