Six years ago, the I-Pace was supposed to be the start of a new electric era for Jaguar. Today, with a mass of new electric rivals, can it still hold it's own?

Love my I Pace. ..bought mine second hand a year ago. It looks great and drives brilliantly . In all honesty right now I would not want anything else sitting in my garage !

I got my 2019 First edition I Pace last June in Los Angeles with 15k miles for only $40, 000, when new it was $90k because it has every available option. I absolutely love it, and even though it’s now 5 years old it constantly gets people attention because they’re rare and still look quite modern. I drive a lot and it’s been such a solid workhorse so far but we’ll see as a rack on the miles. Degradation seems to be very little as I can get 240 miles out of it still. My absolute single favorite thing about it is those 22 inch carbon fiber wheels. Just gorgeous and very unique to a vehicle in this price point.

Still looks fantastic
Jag only sold 4, 874 new
I Pace worldwide in 2023 !!
That was down from only
7, 307 worldwide sales in 2022…
So much new competitor product etc
And everyone knows it’s ceasing production by early 2025…
Why spend a lot of $$$ on a vehicle that’s about to be discontinued…

Electric cars are like the first pentium computers. Every year, they get faster, cheaper, and their power density increases. Then there's the Jaguar I-Pace, which is still running 6 year old stats with 6 ear old prices.

I've got a '19 HSE model and love it to bits! It's a steal of a price when used these days for what it offers. The design is amazing inside-out and a head-turner like no other short of a supercar - trust me I know. The performance is top notch and the range is still good enough. Not planning on selling mine probably ever!

Needed update on efficiency and tech, fallen way behind competition! Can't sell on looks alone when range isn't enough

As an owner I thought the video was a really good review of where the I-Pace sits in 2024. The only thing I would challenge is the efficiency stats. My average over 4 years is 2.7mpkWh.

I love the screen placement vs some of the newer cars with the giant distracting screens on the dash

I just bought a 2019 and I'm smitten. The most epic car I've ever owned in every possible way.

18 months into my I-pace still think it’s the best car I have driven and I’ve driven a lot. Long journeys are a breeze with no driver fatigue. I lease mine so cost really a problem. Yes I would still choose one today.

Buying this car used is the best option. £20k for a 2020 with around 40, 000 on the clock. Bargain.

Incredibly beautiful car, luxury interior and g force inducing acceleration. A used car bargain and I love mine that I picked up recently for just 22.5k.

However, here are some things I dislike in case anyone is considering and put off by these:

- High charge consumption. Even driving conservatively it does burn through battery quite quickly in my experience.
- Slow charging - can go 30-80%ish overnight on a home charger which works for me but if you do a lot of mileage or don’t have a drive and space for a home charger then could be an issue.
- The boot design means water drips on your head when putting things in the boot if it’s been raining which in the UK it often has.
- The charging port is front passenger side which is a small thing but annoys me as I like to reverse park and the charger then doesn’t reach so have to drive in forward. Personal preference but a heads up.

If you’re not put off by those things or doing high mileage this is an absolute bargain of a used car in my opinion.

I’ve just bought a second hand 70 plate and unless you’re doing loads of long journeys then the charging speed really isn’t an issue. It looks stunning and it’s a fantastic drive!

The elephant in the room is the woeful support / services framework around the IPACE. I've had several problems in the Hampshire area and there is a 2-3 month waiting time to get the car booked in for a service/repair. At one point one of the dealers advised Jaguar Assistance should be used as the car would fail completely before there was a chance to get the car in for a repair. They were right.

If the dealer network around their sole EV - the IPACE struggle to support, I have grave concerns how they are going to support a completely new EV line up given that they will still need to support/service 20-30+ years of Jags in the system in addition to a completely different architecture and platform based on EV.

I've got a 2019 I-Pace that's only done 20, 000. It breaks my heart when I see it's value now. But it looks and drives like new, and it's amazing to drive. I still love it. It has to be the bargain of the century as a second hand car. I would recommend.

Only recently been looking at the I-Pace after I saw what a relative bargain the early ones are now on the used market - and because the new model is almost unchanged, they still look fresh. It looks a fantastic car and I love that it has buttons! It looks like a premium car inside and not like a laptop on wheels. There's no way I'd even consider a Tesla, but I"m seriously considering a used I-PACE as my next car.

Thank you for the nice Video.
After 4 years with my I-Pace SE (2020) and many driving test off other EV‘s, i took my new I-Pace HSE (2024) and I love it.

Range in California has been 250, consistently since 2019. just FYI as the figures quoted 130-220 ? Fair review though, I wouldn't have it if I regularly did very long journeys. I had no other choice when I bought it.
