For variation, the finished tofu could be soaked (better boiled then leave to cool in the spice water) in turmeric - garlickz ground coriander -salt water to add some natural colour and flavour, then it will become the yellow tofu that we eat daily down here, greetings from Bandung (happend to be raised in a village thats famous for its yellow tofu)

Great demonstration. I haven't tried using it myself (yet!), but I've read that the leftover whey/water from the pressing stage can be used like aquafaba from canned chickpeas.

Oh and it just happens that I made a batch of okara waffles for my children's lunch today. Mix the okara with some flour, eggs, milk, cinnamon and sugar (optional), before cooking in a waffle iron. So tasty!

The skin off the top can be dried and used for all sorts of things! Some people just make skins from the soy milk.

Thank you! I may try this with other beans as well (pigeon peas might be tasty). I think your channel is evolving past Martha. Thanks again, and stay out of trouble!

I made this, and it turned out great! Weird though, my soymilk never expanded in the pot like everyone says it does. 🤔

That was very interesting. I have never eaten Tofu, as far as I know but I like to try anything. First I will try the Store bought just in case, but even though I am not Vegartarian I still like non-meat alternatives.

I don’t like tofu, but I make cheese at home, saw this mold on the internet and was wondering about it. Now I saw it in action used by person I 100% trust, so I’m definitely going to buy it. Thank you Tikki, you rock as always! ❤️🌹🌷😍

Question: can you add salt to tofu during the process?
