The one drawback reading books from Drs. Perlmutter, Blum, Hyman, Sears, Kellman, Galland, Holford is that...you always get a quarrel (sometimes almost a "fight") with your own docs. They do not know that is a very very big problem.

By the way, I am an engineer...and I read also many many books also of other researchers (Doidge, W.Price, Pauling, Hoffer, McKully, Rheaume-Bleue, C.Adams, Pittman&Karle, W.Walsh, E.Mayer, Braverman, R.Lustig, F.Chilton, Shanahan, William Davis to name a few. But in the real world you are alone. The docs in real life, never heard anything about gluten ( exception it is bad for celiac patients) they never heard anything about microbiome or probiotics ( exception it is good for ones gastrointestinal diseases) and their far reaching effects on body/brain etc. Try to tell them what you read and promptly you have an army of the so called docs in front of are alone! And sometimes you feel so unsure.
