i’ll never understand why schools have those small windows on the doors - if an intruder broke in they could easily break the glass and reach their hand in to unlock the door.

I haven't heard the school lockdown stories in awhile. For some reason these are my favorite ones.

I remember this never ended badly, but everyone was scared:
We had a drill about a month and a half into school. What out school does is you close the curtain on the little rectangle door window, lock it, prop the wooden board under the handle to keep it from opening, close the blinds, and make a desk barricade. Me and my two friends in the class were huddled in a group in the corner, and everyone else was dispersed accordingly. They were trying to make it realistic (which we didn’t know.) so there was running and yelling from downstairs. We all were just silently freaking the hell out and getting lower to the ground. We heard running and banging on our door, and someone jiggled the handle really hard and the board actually snapped. Everyone went silent. Like dead silent. There was more banging and then it stopped. Safe to say everyone was scared out of their minds

In the first story, he shouldn't have talk to anyone, especially when there's the real lockdown, and alert his friend about the stranger then his friend can tell the teacher about his whereabouts and the attacker's as well.

There was a lockdown at my middle school once, and my friend Kasie was stuck outside the classrooms. When Kasie heard footsteps coming, they had nowhere to run, so they jumped into a large garbage can at the corridor and pulled the bag closed, like the can was full but the janitor didn't take it. The footsteps went away, and Kasie turned out OK. We never knew if it was a security guard or someone dangerous.

It's crazy to think that as children school was like a safe haven and now hearing so many school horror stories, it shows that you aren't safe there either

A few years back there was a ‘school shooting’ at the elementary school I was at. It was a semi-serious lockdown because somebody had a gun or small firearm and was close to the school. I can vividly remember the popular girls sitting by me crying. Nothing serious happened, but it’s still one that lockdown I can never forget.

story number 6 sounds exactly like what happened at my school. we live in a small town with about 500 students at the school and one of them made a gang mad and we have a teacher named mrs sanders at the school. that story hits too close to home
