The aftermath of betrayal goes beyond its first blow, gradually wearing down one's inner equilibrium. Over time, seemingly harmless things turn into triggers, amplifying the impact of trauma. The threat, though intangible, remains a constant presence for those who have been betrayed.

Each triggering incident takes a toll on the nervous system, reducing the space to handle life's difficulties with stability. The exhaustion of living in constant anticipation of danger overwhelms, making even minor provocations highly distressing.

Youre describing a lack of mental fortitude. Probably from coddling. Ive been betrayed more times than i can count, am i overly suspicious? Probably. But i still trust everyone until they give me a reason not to. And when it does happen, i dont get upset, because it was an expectation.
