CAR PRICES COLLAPSE, So I Bought 8 In ONE DAY! Here's What I Paid

My name is Brandon and I am a used car dealer. I created Car Questions Answered to share the ins and outs of the used car market from my perspective. I share with you updates on car prices, what's happening at the dealer auctions, and what it's like being a dealer. My goal is to share information to help you make the best decisions while buying a car to save you money. I do not want car dealers taking advantage of you.

These dealers who hold onto cars during a crashing market remind me of the people who said the Titanic was unsinkable.

The dealers holding on and no selling at the auction are the ones who lost the most. The first to sell usually gets the best price, the last to sell usually sells for the least amount.

Quite a number of older 4Runners and Tundras still overpriced but they have come down a lot. Still waiting.

Brandon....As a consumer who has purchased many, many vehicles in my lifetime, I have never come across a dealer like yourself who is as straightforward and honest about the inner workings of the car dealer world as you are. You're an open book and people, like myself, really appreciate it. I bet other dealers absolutely HATE watching your videos 😂. I'm located in Northwest Georgia with 3 kids and 7 grandkids. In the years to come, they will be needing transportation and I have no problems at all driving to NC and purchasing vehicles from you. Keep up the good work.

I bet the negative equity on every CarMax lot is in the millions. Like 5+ million.

nobody wanted to take the loss to get the downward ball rolling.until the had to dump them for operating capital.why prices stayed artificially high.

Glad to hear that you and every other car-based YouTuber are able to get these sweet deals on used cars. This has not been my experience despite all of the bloviation to the contrary from YouTube. Prices in Central WI remain high and even though we are ready to write a check and buy a vehicle nobody will deal. Getting weary of hearing how the market is "crashing"/"the sky is falling."

Brandon, I have heard you talk about purchasing a Tesla Mode 3 for a decent price and the new Honda Odyssey. I am wondering if you could tell me where I could purchase a Model Y at a good price. The reason I want one is because I am having trouble seeing after dark (I just turned 80 years a few weeks ago). I had planned to upgrade my 2011 Honda Odyssey to another one but after my son took me for a ride in his Model Y to Ann Arbor to demo the self driving a couple months ago I have wanted a Tesla Y. I have to do creative financing to be able to afford an upgraded car. The Model 3 sits to low to the ground for me. I had been looking at the rebuilt ones on eBay but I read that it was hard to get insurance on rebuilts.
I live about four miles from a Manheim Auction but I don't think they have Tesla's for sale. I live about 14 miles from the Detroit Coparts which is in Woodhaven. I really enjoyed the video of you and Mr. Know-It-All as you first drove a Tesla. Thanks for any suggestion. Love and Light to you and your family. Margie

That is a very rare 1997 Acura TL that only has 117 on the miles. If you were in my state I'd buy it in a second for 4k. Those engines are very smooth and go 250-300k no problem. You could consign it as a clean title with copart and get more than 4k for it. Does the interior and exterior look like it only has 117 on the miles. I have a 2002 acura CL coupe with 134k and love it.

They're still asking 10k for 16 year old accords with 130k miles. Whem you let 20 million people in that all need cars, the used market doesn't have enough to meet the demand.

Love your info! I live in CA... yeah bummer. How can a person recognize a credible dealer in your targeted market? How do you handle letting people have a car independently checked out?

Nissan has more problems than just transmissions. They are notorious for electric and sensor failures.

Makes sense that in low-margin used car business you need volume - cheap car dealer makes $10, 000 selling 10 cars vs franchise dealer is trying to make $10, 000 selling only 2 cars targeting $5, 000 profit for each car.

Searching the $30k range and prices are down substantially from last year. I am enjoying watching them come back to reality 🍿🍿🍿

In my opinion my 2003b Buick Lesabre was just as good as that 02' Camry. The Lesabre was a very reliable car before the frame rusted out from northeast winters.
