FORD Just Signaled The Car Market IS COLLAPSING

My name is Brandon and I am a used car dealer. I created Car Questions Answered to share the ins and outs of the used car market from my perspective. I share with you updates on car prices, what's happening at the dealer auctions, and what it's like being a dealer. My goal is to share information to help you make the best decisions while buying a car to save you money. I do not want car dealers taking advantage of you.

Thanks for watching and please feel free to leave any comments you may have in the section below!

When the dealer laughed at me for not buying and telling him I'd wait the market out until they lowered prices, he didn't believe my willpower. It's been two years, and I WILL NOT buy a car that was $30k a few years ago for $50k. You can go kick rocks. Edit: I just looked up the car I've been wanting for awhile, and it looks like the price did go down a little. I'll just keep waiting. haha.

Every single time I see a company start losing business, losing money and having trouble retaining customers because they made the willing choice to make products they want to sell instead of the products the customer wants to buy my heart warms a bit and the world just seems like a brighter, kinder place.

Ford management is out of touch with the retail consumers.

When Broncos first came out, you could order a base 2dr for $29k. Now the cheapest is $41k.

I make over $100k a year- well over the average American income. I Have a mortgage and kids. Wife works too making about $60k. Most expensive car I ever bought was $33k and that was tough to swallow. Currently own 4 cars. All paid off. 3 were bought used for under $4k. I couldn’t imagine buying a $60k car or truck or maybe I’m just more responsible.

I've never paid $50K for a car and I don't think I ever will. I believe that the majority of the population can say the same.

Beware of lot rot on these vehicles. Batteries, tires, fluids, etc. may be problematic. Some of these vehicles are over two years old!

This is what happens when a company makes what consumers don’t want.

I work close to the Ford plant in KC. You should see the ocean of F150s sitting around the plant, they just keep stacking up.

I'm not going to tell Ford how to run the company but giving up on sedans sounds and sounded ludicrous.

I know a girl that works for a company that makes plastic components for some of the bigger car companies (including ford). Tonight she was offered to go home early today. Mentioned that work was slow and said it was due to manufacturing plants slowing down/laying off people.

It's going to get worse.

There are several factors, no more 0% car loans, inflation eating everyone’s discretionary income, flat raises are not tracking with cost of living, decreased driving because a lot of people are remote, and though cars are getting nicer, the cost of cars has jumped up. Young people just don’t value their cars the way older people do.

Even if the prices were cut in half it would still be too high with these interest rates.
