Looks to me like if you do 4K gaming, there is almost no difference between the 5800x3d and the 7800x3d. So there is no point in upgrading. Note that this also applies to to VR gaming which is at 4K resolutions.

noone is gaming 4k native with out dlls on there is cpu start to kick in, me with dlls on on 7800x3d i get 60fps more. So 7700x has 60 fps less. i am glad i pay 180 euros more for 60 fps more average on gaming with dlls on.
