I've dropped my Makita off ladders, lifts, roofs. always saying to myself "It's gotta be broken this time" but nope it always works. Great tools.

That Makita is such the perfect impact drill. I only have the xdt16 but man it’s beautiful and so accurate with application

What really matters is they'll both be working in 10 years ...

I loved the 3rd gen milwaukee hammer drill, but for the price and reliability, makita for me personally. They've expanded their selection of tools, and the 18v drill set (impact and hammer) and 6 1/2" circular saw, and 2 4.0 Ah batteries, plus charger only cost me $220 on sale months ago.

I’m still using the dtd153 I just love it for the simplicity and it does everything I want it to do and it’s durable. I came from the gen3 m18 btw.

I'd pick the Makita it's reliable sturdy and I'm not in a race on the job site yes Milwaukee's are torque monsters but who needs all that speed in the real world we're not timing ourselves every time we set a screw in a wall 😂

I think that seconds or minutes are extremely important in life threating situations. That aside, I go with the smoothness, ergonomics, ruggedness, power, quality and the life span of the tool to get the job done. No need for speed but overall control.💙🇵🇷

I fully agree the bateries must to be the same watts for the comparision

The fact that Milwaukee can put that much power into a body more compact that all of their gotta go with Milwaukee.

I dont understand why people keeps doing comparations between Milwaukee tools and others brands if already know Milwaukee always will win

I think that something that gets lost on all these tests is that sometimes you don’t need to be the fastest. You just have to be able to complete the task. Probably why I see a ton of woodworkers with Makita. Milwaukee may lord over construction sites, but the battle for wood shop/garage supremacy is a little more evenly matched.

I have the Milwaukee. Its performance is king. But as a brand I prefer Makita due to reliability and ergonomics.

I have Milwaukee drill sets but Makitas ergonomics are the best.

The new Milwaukee M18 4th Gen Impact Driver is a refined beast. It’s even smoother than the 3rd Gen, allowing maximum finesse of the screw or lag.

To answer your question Makita they seem to be better made smoother just a better tool.

I pick them both and a few more lol you can never have to many impact drivers 😂

Faster is not always better.
The faster Milwaukee could be drilling the hole out so it doesn’t hold as good. The slower Makita could be driving the fastener the way it was intended to be used. So it might hold much better the slower it goes.
This is a test for Project Farm to figure out if faster is better when it comes down to fastener strength with powerful and less powerful impact drivers.

I have both of these and the makita is so much more smooth. The Milwaukee and people I see using the Milwaukee are always slipping off the screw and jamming the bit into the material (their great with a nut driver)

At this point they both great tools, the difference between the main name brands are so small
