You need to do a 40k income because most of us make less way less than 100k

Doesn't seem to matter where you live, the taxes are all similar. What is the big difference is how much it cost to rent or buy.

Sounds about right. Hopefully we'll get rid of that state tax soon!!

These keep appearing in my feed. This analysis is completely useless. What is the cost of living in each state? How high are property taxes? What is the median salary for a worker in your industry with your experience/skills/education? What is the unemployment rate? What is the sales tax rate?

There are also standard deductions… it will take 12 grand of your income that can be taxed and 24 grand off of that if filing married joint

watched about 20 of these so far and all of them are the same when the same gross income is used aside from the states that have state taxes. Question is What percentage of Americans make 100, 000? Why not use the average income per that state?

Can you adjust it to the median taxes paid... including real-estate tax. It's far cheaper In wisconsin than Illinois and you have the total tax the same

When I went to California we spent 7 dollars on a single soft serve ice cream. Most expensive soft serve I’ve ever had, it was really good tho

Property taxes are high. Sales taxes are low fortunately

Why do you do some states at 1.45% for Medicare and other states at 2.9%? All Medicare taxes should be at 2.9% regardless of state

We get it get to the end. The cost are all across the board.

I just wish I didn’t have to pay 6.2% of my income my whole life to pay for other people’s retirement because there is no way in hell im going to actually get SS by the time I retire.

Very similar to north Carolina. I think our state tax is slightly higher.
