I think Unity is great for making Indie or AA games, but for making AAA quality games, you need to script and make a lot of things by yourself which is not available in the engine itself. 2D game development in Unity is much more matured than UE4. You have to tweak lighting by yourself to achieve realistic looks.
UE4 offers more tools and it's quite overwhelming at first. But when you open UE4, you get tools out of the box. There is already a scene setup with interactive lighting. UE4 has free library of Quixel's Megascans too. Visual Scripting and Node based shaders are more matured in UE4.
However, it takes quite a lot of time to get started with UE4. So I mostly use it for making real-time renders or graphic demonstrations.

Everyone says that UE has more features, but I have yet to find a list of what Unity is missing. It's hard to decide if you should go with UE because Unity is lacking features when you don't know whether these are things you'll actually need for your game or not.

C++ is fine, Unreal C++ is however, another level of software engineering that's too hard for beginners to maneuver.

Thanks for all the info! But, one answer to my question that's not in the video is about the performance. How's the performance on both engines based on your experience? So far I heard Unity is more likely lead to laggy project, but not so sure about that in 2021.

I have heard that Unity's game logic is much MORE advanced than unreal and easy as well... is it true? On forum They also said that making a chess game or a very advanced and complex AI is much more easier and faster to do in unity than unreal?!

hello i'm an architect and i'm using vray for like 5 years and now, i want to use real time rendering with game engines. i'm started to learn unity and i built a small project but i'm really confused about that did i make wrong decision about not picking eu4 for more photorealism. should i change my way to eu4 for architectural rendering. btw im only just abeginner in unity.

I use godot it have small size, compatible with my low end laptop. There are 3 programing language (C#, C++, and gdscript (based on phyton, the easier language for me) and visual scripting, it's totally free and open source but maybe the 3D performance is less. I think good or not your game is depending on yourself not your engine.

It's possible to make quality games in unity despite these people saying that unreal is better than unity because of graphics & performance.
Just take a look at games made by unity, are they slow performance game? Nope
So bad/good performance depends on the developer itself, and in terms of graphics, unity can support low/high end devices with the new SRP system.
If you're planning to make a AAA game all by yourself, then it's not AAA anymore and both unity and unreal engine can't help you with that
