What always stands out to me is that he would be in "the heart of the earth" as in buried in the ground. But He wasn't. He was in a sepulchre above the ground. We can say he was buried in a loose sense as in laid to rest but technically he wasn't buried in the ground.

The conflict is ill defined by the video @ 1:02. After three days is not after 72 hours. But a day can be taken to mean the 12 hours of daylight, and the first day treated as a few hours, therefore, D1 + N1 + D2 + N2 + D3 + N3. D1 and N3 may be as short as a few hours, lets say, X and Y respectively. So after three days is X + Y + 12 x 4 = 48 + X + Y. Therefore after 3 days is at least 48 hours. X+48+Y exceeds Friday Sunday tradition (X + 36 + Y) by at least 12 hours, but still agrees with on the third day using calendar days of 24 hours. The cultural tradition of inclusive counting allows X + 48 + Y, but not X + 36 + Y (Friday Sunday).

Good effort. You forgetting that a Jewish day goes from nightfall to nightfall (since God created darkness before light). It's not even on a third day. Unless the hypothesis stating that crucifixion took place on Wednesday is correct. Also I'm not so sure if one can so loosely interpret the "sign of Jonah" as it was important indication to Messiah (as his very precise lineage).
