This is the same device used by a lot of local towing companies, many of whom still charge $50.00 for a simple jump start. This is an investment, because it also can be used to provide momentary emergency power for small electronics, such as your laptop in a pinch. I've seen a video where someone used the GB150 to start a 10T diesel. It will pay for itself the first time it's actually needed, because you don't have to call for help, it's right there in your truck. Once fully charged, I check mine monthly, to see if there is any voltage drain; so far, a year later, it's held that initial charge very well; the multi meter showed that only 1% loss of overall voltage too place. This battery is extremely stable in it's case, stowed in a cool, dry closet!

I have one of these, never had it work for me. The voltage only seems to show 11.5v on the unit itself in over ride mode. Is there a problem with the unit maybe? seems like it should send out 12v+?
