Cleaning the enamel of your Weber BBQ

This is a very quick video to show you how to clean the outside of your Weber BBQ.

The important thing to remember is that the porcelain colour of your BBQ, is not paint, it's a glass finish! Since the 1950s, Weber apply a layer of black enamel powder, sprayed onto the steal and then heat each BBQ in a giant kiln at 815C. This process melts the enamel powder and makes an impenetrable rust proof surface over the steel, which if looks after, can last for decades and can be cleaned easily. When Weber create different colour grills, they tend to apply a second coat of enamel over the black base layer.
