Finally it makes sense as it relates to the diagram. Numbers were different on my 5 pin but the diagram is the same. Magnetic connection draws the switch from 3 to 4 closed to 3 to 5 open. Right? Please. I'm old and electricity scares me. But that right, right?

Great short! Does this mean that if you want, for example, your rear 12v accessory cigarette port disconnected from power when the engine is running (instead of the port being powered when the car is running), that you would pull up the OEM relay and rewire it so so socket 87 goes to 87a? If so, would you also put a pig tail in to connect socket 87a to 87?

I want for my rear cigarette port to be off when the engine is on and on when engine is off so I can charge the battery with a solar trickle.
