First time gold (copper) melt in potato. No acids.

This is an attempt at melting gold fingers from computer boards and ribbon wires.

The fingers were removed from the boards using a soldering iron.

First time I’ve seen someone melting gold in a potato 🥔 lol no hate it was fun watching but if you really want to just extract the gold from old motherboards you have to let them sit in acid first the. Do a few other steps to get the actual gold out once you get a coffee like powder then you can melt it

Seriously big potato. I had no idea theres gold in computers. How long did that take. Will it ever look like gold. Maybe a pottery kiln. They sold mini tabletop kilns to make silver jewellery years ago b4 covid
