Older iPads work better than you think... This 10 year old iPad Air makes the best E reader!

The iPad Air 1st generation (2013) is a steal right now if you're just after an ebook with a long lasting battery and decent screen. Why pay hundreds for a newer model with few improvements other than speed you don't need?

Been a bit of a drop in view frequency lately, but I'm here to stay. Subscribe for more of the same, uploaded regularly on this channel.

Also sorry about the dead audio quality... need to get a proper mic still tbh

I can beat you by a whisker on the age thing - I have a iPad 3rd Gen A1430 (9.7" IPS, TFT, Retina 2038 x 1536) which works great as an e-book reader. In fact, that's pretty much all I use it for. It takes a while to boot up, but once up and running it does what it's asked. I use the Bluefire Reader app for e-books and Apple iBooks for PDFs.

Just got an iPad 6th gen for $50. Amazing value to have as a web browser and media consumption device. It can even handle light note taking and document writing in split mode, with great support for mouse and keyboard. However, audio stutters a bit when I try to push it harder. It does 90% of what the new ones do, but at $50 is a total bargain.

1:49 Oh dear, i miss the orientation lock physical switch. This Air is the last one to have it, if i remember correctly. At least, on Air 2 it was gone already

£31 is insane for an iPad tbh, weren’t they like £500 new??

Will yours stream Netflix if you had a data plan? Also do IPad screens often crack? I’m hesitant going used as I can’t purchase apple care. Thanks mate.
