might sound silly, but i always carry around some chewing gum with me, and when i feel my anxiety coming on, chewing gum really helps bring my anxiety down, its something that i really like because its so subtle and you can do it in public without people knowing youre feeling on the edge :)

Tip from me: Sing, play an instrument, draw, write! Do some art, you don't have to me good at it, just express yourself in some creative way!

A lot of the time, I won't even be thinking about anything and I get anxiety. The center of it is in my throat. I start feelings tightening to no reason, and then I get very irritable and just want to self harm to get rid of it. Just typing this has given it to me.. 😣

Ive been dealing with Anxiety since January of 2020. Ever since my first ever panic attack, I havent felt even close to the same. I feel like a literal different person now and everyday I feel like Im losing my mind. My main trigger is my memory. Ill start to forget things and I immediately jump to the conclusion that I have dementia or some sort of severe mental illness. The more anxious I get. The more I start to forget. Ill start testing myself and trying to remember certain events and then I cant even remember those. I struggled in school and failed out of every class of my fall semester because I was too afraid to even leave my bed. The only time I can feel comfort is when Im asleep and I know thats bad. Im trying to distract myself from it now and Im starting to learn that its okay. Its awesome reading all of the comments and understanding that there’s other people out there dealing with similar issues. I believe we’ll all find ourselves again soon and I have hope for us❤️

I find telling at least one person how you are feeling helps reduce my anxiety if I'm out. My anxiety thrives on ppl not finding out I'm having a panic attack. Cos I dont want to ruin other ppls times. But if u tell one person it reduces it slightly and u don't feel so isolated and alone and someone knows what your struggling with & it takes the edge off sometimes. But it doesn't always work!! It has to be someone u trust and feel comfortable with or it could have the opposite effect. Thanks for yr video kati, very helpful

I feel anxiety in my heart and lungs so it helps a lot to do breathing exercises and focus on that area. I also like to drink hot tea which I find really soothing (especially green tea or chamomile) because breathing the steam is really relaxing and the warmth gives you something to focus on.
What do you do when you're unable to leave the house and are stuck with your thoughts? I try watching funny shows/ videos and listening to music really loud but I find I don't have the motivation to do many productive things. I've been trying out mindfulness meditation as well.
I am working hard to make things better, especially with my emotional state but sometimes I feel them getting worse.. I take medicine, now. Not sure how much it is helping. Anyway, really helpful video.

#1 is really good advice as my favourite writer said empty mind is the playground of the devil. When you are doing nothing that’s the time when you are bombarded with negative thoughts.

I dropped out of college due to stress. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I also showed symptoms of cluster c personality disorder, especially avoidant personality disorder. I am currently undergoing therapy and medication. I feel really bad about all that. Anxiety was one of the main reasons I discontinued the course. Once my hands and legs started shivering from it. Thanks Kati for the tips. I will try putting them to use.

This is a great video. I really suffered with anxiety when I was a young man, but I'm really happy I came through some years ago. I really feel for people still struggling and it's still a topic of interest.

Could you do a video on healthy ways to express anger? I think it would be useful.
