I am "the friend" watching quietly

Many good videos on TPS, thank you for that. I've watched several of them. I wish, however, that the videos will show more details of how to actually hit the ball, in various situations. That would give a more clear indication of the tehcnique that is being used (at least to me). You could even show how to hit the ball in slowmotion, to emphasize how to carry out the actual hit. Just a thought 😊

Best part of the video: watching Sandy scoop a ball of the back glass. 🤣 Excellent video as always guys.

the first rule I taught my children for doubles (in any sport) is,
encourage your partner, however s/he is playing.

Hey guys, thanks for your videos. I've seen a lot of tips for people coming to padel from tennis, but not so many about people coming from squash (understandably, tennis is more popular!). I've just started playing padel but played squash for years. I think I have an advantage over tennis players with playing off the wall, but less so in other areas, particularly the smash. Could you do a video on tips specifically for people coming to padel from squash, please? Thanks!

Don't rush to serve. Take your time. Bounce the ball, breath and concentrate. That usually pisses my friends on the other side off and then they will hit hard and bad 😂

My two cents, actually three 😅 Just put in the first serve. Don't miss/fail the first volley after the serve, just try a good setup volley. Aim to the center, aim to the T 😊

Great video as always 👍
I would add an extra tip which seems like a counter to the last one you mentioned. Try to alternate your choice of shots in similar situations so your friends cannot expect what is coming from you every time. Tried that and worked several times 😃👌

Tip: ilots of times when you as a pair start losing your partner will give up - so 1 ) know that because their game changes (body language reaction etc) so say to them we can do this... Especially if you have the winning mentality - it doesnt matter if you win but having your partner on the same page can often make or break. For example, me and my partner were down 4-0 and she was defeatist saying we can win the next set... I said NO we will win this one stop thinking like that and the score at the end 6:4 to us

To be fair, the kind of players that normally 'scoop' the ball back like you did at the start probably lack technique and positioning to properly smash the ball back. If they do, it will bounce before the net or hit the fence or glass at 2m height :P
