We Found America’s Best Hidden Town (Taos Will Blow You Away)

We’re spending 3 days in Taos, New Mexico, which is considered one of the most underrated places in the country. We start our first day meandering through the downtown historic district. Visit Mudd and Flood an outdoor gear store and do some shopping, pop into Chokola a chocolate bar with fairtrade chocolate, get a beer at Toas Mesa Brewery. We're staying at Taos Valley Rv Park. We have dinner at Medley and it was so good! Our second day we raft down the Rio Grande with Big River Raft Trips. After that we head on down the road to Vivac Winery for a wine tasting. We drive back to Taos Valley Rv Park and make burgers and fries for dinner. On our last day we wake up at 4am for a hot air balloon ride into the gorge! Rio Grande Balloons is the only hot air balloon company that can get you down into the gorge. Sol was our pilot and he made the whole experience exceptional! This will be the best video you watch all day.

2:50- Fresh cacao in Taos not only kinda rhymes but it also somewhat hearkens back to the fact that archaeologists in Chaco Canyon have found traces of cacao on Native American ceremonial vessels dating back to pre-European times. Yes, that means that the Native Americans of what's now New Mexico had communication and trade with Native Americans in what's now the central part of Mexico and considered cacao to be a special commodity!
