What’s the most interesting underground location near where you live? Let us know!

I have used the Pedway in Chicago many times.
Chicago also has the longest continuous subway platform in the world.
It's a 3, 500-foot-long platform located in the State Street subway and connects the Lake, Monroe, and Jackson stations, and technically is a single station.

La prohibition tunnels
Should be cleaned up lights installed with water sewage and other nessary items, as well as home type enclosures for homeless people with an electric railway offering cheap housing by the city.
Looks like plenty of room to make safe 2 story dwellings that are tiny apartments. Way better then living on the streets and it should have its own police and fire departments
As well as be expanded to house more.

Might even be a solution to fire prone areas, on the surface parks open to its public as well as parking areas.

My aunt and uncle lived in Michigan. There is a city in Michigan called "Pontiac" . It has a city and tunnels under it. They told stories about it most Halloweens.

My grandparents used to live in a neighborhood behind Ogelthorpe U. And my mother worked at one of the places at Underground Atlanta in the 70s.

I've read through most comments and I can't believe not one mentioning of these underground tunnels and sub structures were here hundreds of years before America was colonized.

I recently found an under ground shopping mall in San Francisco’s Chinatown. I’ve lived a block away for 13 years and shop at the stores street level because there’s both Chinese and English language signs and speakers. It randomly one day behind one of the shops I saw some stairs that people went down and found an entire mall of shops that is not advertised and there was non English and no one helped me but gave me dirty looks. Feeling unwanted I left. Was the creepiest feeling.

This is not helping the case against all of our major cities having already excited but were buried and found instead of us building and creating them.

hello worldspire, atlanta's marta's greatness was a first underground straight from airport to downtown peach town. most of the other metros were built with skyrail connection. the underground shopping is nice - there are two stations design from montreal to DC - the peele station has the nicest symmetrical exit entrance feel - not a typical feel of the MTA. the DC underground was a not fair. when did DC need an underground but i thank DC to have opened the underground Peele Station and premiered the shared bike program in 2008. el-

Subtropolis was a salt mine. The business park is just a byproduct of that.
