Must have been hard learning how to bend in your adult life. Benders generally use it in their daily lives and their body adapts to how they move and what muscle groups they use in those movements. Bumi went pretty much half his life span without bending and was already a bit out of shape. What’s intuitive to most characters growing up he had to learn from scratch

Now that i think about, we never saw an overweighted Air Bender, even Bumi lost weight after his trainings.

This is the reincarnation of sokka. I would have loved if bumi had sokka's boomerang. When he became an air bender and then he threw it at his enemies and they dodged. They will say that this was pathetic but, Because BUMI is an Airbender meaning the boomerangs spin will be dramatically increase and when it came back because of the spin it came back with a tornado 🌪️ around it .
