I formula feed. Thankfully my 10months baby girl has slept all night since 6 weeks old. She prob would have slept all night since day 1 but we woke her up to feed her every 3hrs for the first 6 weeks cause the hospital scares people into feeding every 2-3hrs. But we learned if baby is hungry she will cry to let us know. She sleeps 11-12hrs every night and it’s been great 🤗

Congrats on 1m! I agree with so much of this. Just be aware many sound machines can go to 80 or 85bd, and anything over 50 can potentially cause hearing damage with long-term exposure. You can get a free meter app for your phone to test the level in their bed.

I did all these same exact things with my first and she’s always slept good. About to have my second and hoping it wasn’t just good luck! 😂

Great tips! I'm a mom of 4 now and though every child is different, most of these work amazing. I need to stay putting baby to sleep earlier but his first stretch is the longest and i like to go to sleep soon after he does to take advantage of it. I'll need to give it a try. Thanks!

I count myself lucky. Both my 2 year old and 9 month old started sleeping 10-12 hours straight by 5 months old. Only problem is they wake at 5:30 AM even on the weekend because of how early i have to leave to get to work.

Great video! I have been following you from my first pregnancy and now I am currently 22w and I am very worried about the night sleep routine. My son was so difficult to get to sleep in the night and he woke up every 3-4 hours until he was almost 2. I gave him bottles to get him sleep again and even after feeding he needed to be held A LOT. The drowsy but awake thing unfortunately never worked for us because he would cry the moment we put in the crib.
So this time around I want to do things better, and maybe a clue from you is the not let him sleeping too much during the days. We were on a strict day nap routine too, but maybe my calculations were off.
Can I ask what to do you in the middle of the night if he wakes up? You never feed him during the night anymore?

Hello Nicole, I have been waiting for this video for so long. Thank you so so much!! I understand the don’ts now but I’m still not sure what the do is. Do you mind sharing what you do? I breastfeed my baby and keep her on till she comes off and that seems to have 45 mints -1 hour which is draining me so much. How do you know if they are full otherwise?

For naps do you feed first then rock to sleep and then put Oakley down awake? Would be so grateful if you can share as I’m struggling so much 😢❤

I have to put my 10 month old to bed at 9pm otherwise she wakes all night! And we still get up at 6am. She has a low sleep need.

Overtiredness is not a thing in older babies. Sleep pressure is the only way to achieve good sleep. Your baby likely has a high sleep need which is why he sleeps well. Your very lucky

Personally for me my baby goes to sleep with me at 10 pm and sleeps till 9-10am with 1 waking for a bottle and he is 10 months. Works great bc PERSONALLY I do not wanna be up at 6am if I don’t have to be 😅😅

This is so interesting. My 6mo sleeps 10ish or more hours and we do none of these! She sleeps in our room, no curtains, no sound machine, we nap on the go, go with the flow and don’t have a set nap schedule. She can literally sleep through church or a sports game without a sound machine or dark curtains. Babies are so different.

Im still breastfeeding on demand (19 months) and he sleeps on me with my nipple in his mouth almost for the full 2 hours in daytime. Az nighttime, he wakes soooo much 😢 every about 2 hours, then gets back to sleep with sucking for a few minutes. In exhausted and soon watching mother nourish nurture toddler sleep course. Hope it helps 😅 and from november, daycare omg
