Instant Yeast vs Active Dry Yeast | How to Activate Yeast

Please check Another detailed video about yeast activation 👇🏼

⏺ When you add instant yeast (quick rise yeast) directly into the flour , also add sugar and salt and mix it with lukewarm water or milk.( Always use lukewarm water/milk with yeast and let it rise in a warm place for better results for about 1 and 1/2 hours or until it’s double in size.)

⏺ 1 teaspoon yeast is good for 2 cups (250g) of flour .

⏺ Always knead the dough very lightly and keep the dough very soft .

⏺ Dough should be super soft (not hard) it’s very important.

⏺ I apologize that at the end I didn’t show you how to mix the dough with instant yeast , the reason behind it was i only wanted to show you that you can simply add instant yeast in the flour and continue mixing dough with water or milk.

I have another video making dough with instant yeast you can check it out 👇🏼

Last time my pizza dough was not rise due to add directly active dry yeast in to the all purpose flour. Thankyou forvsharing this video. Now I understood the difference between two yeast.

I was watching a bread making video and they didn’t show the mixing of the yeast and water and I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong 😩 thank you!

Anyone already dropped some dry yeast on the floor? Fun times cleaning up
My tip with dry yeast - remove from the fridge, put the amount in a jar, let rest 30 minutes on the counter top without adding water - time for it to warm up and wake up. Only then add water to it and let melt for an hour or so. In my experience, kept in the fridge dry yeast is good up to about 2 years after the expiry date. You'll know when it's bad, dough will no longer rise.

Thank you for the visual. I tried priming my yeast that expired this month, and it was bubbling but just barely. I tried with a fresh batch of yeast and it's working much better.

When adding the “instant yeast” to the flour. Do you also mix in warm water ?? Or does it get plump like that naturally.
I think you skipped a step. Please clarify. Thanks !!

hello
I wanted to have 100% whole wheat bread...so i bought bread maker machine for convenience....
i followed the manual...bread came out well with decent rise.... and the outer part fine.. but inner part didn't baked well..uncooked from inside..

now i don't have any clue what went wrong.... i used the basic...dry yeast....which i poured above the dry ingredients as per the manual..

do i have to follow the step as shown in this video? and can we use additional baking power to make more rise?

thank you for this.. i misunderstood the other guy's video and I was using instant yeast the wrong way and it would never rise.. now that I understand, I know that instant yeast is to be added to dry mix and is only expected to rise once, and active dry yeast is the stuff that allows dough to rise several times.. this time my yeast sugar water actually got foamy like a beer on top before I added it into the dough. tired of eating crackers instead of breadsticks so thank you for this information. my dough will hopefully rise in the next 45 minutes
